DT Radio -- 24-April-2009

Continuing with the radio playlists... this show marked my first visit to the WPRB studios in 2009 and also my first foray into hosting the "Top Ten Show."  I didn't include that hour in my playlist (as I had no control over it), but let's just say it was an experience.

This particular program had some outstanding highs, particularly my remembering to play Pegboy (as a tribute to the closing of Touch & Go's P&D arm) and the unreal segue between RTFO Bandwagon and Broadcast. It also had a weak finish, between the mind-bending "Lesbian Seagull" and the unfortunate appearance of the DJ following my show -- he plugged in a laptop, futzed with the turntable mixer while I was still playing albums, and completely failed to acknowledge the existence of a massive record library just outside the studio door.  Even the Thin Lizzy closer couldn't quite save the day for me.
